Twenty years ago, LifeHealthcare began with a simple vision: to improve patient outcomes by connecting healthcare professionals with innovative medical technologies.
Two decades later, more than 500 team members from across Australia and New Zealand came together in Sydney to celebrate just how far that vision has come, and where it will take us next.
Our 2026 Company Conference wasn't simply about looking back. It was about recognising the people, partnerships and purpose that have shaped the past 20 years, while setting our sights firmly on the future.
Reflecting on the milestone, CEO Paul Petherbridge reminded the team that every person, regardless of when they joined, plays an important role in the company's story.
"Whether you've been here for 20 years, 20 months or 20 days, you're now part of our story. Together, your passion, expertise and willingness to support one another are what make this such a special place to work, and that's something we're incredibly proud of."
That sentiment captured the spirit of the conference. It wasn't just a celebration of where we've been, but of the people who continue to shape where we're going.
Over the past two decades, LifeHealthcare has grown from a medical device distributor into a leading medtech business serving clinicians across Australia and New Zealand. This year marked another exciting chapter as we welcomed Cryomed, alphaXRT and Mo Milling reflecting our continued evolution as part of a wider ANZ Distribution.
While the technologies and specialties continue to evolve, one thing has remained constant: our purpose of helping make life better for others. Different solutions. Different customers. The same commitment to improving lives.
As Kristine James, CEO of EBOS MedTech, shared with the team:
"Sometimes we'll meet the clinicians or customers whose lives we've helped improve. Most of the time, we won't. But our work reaches them nonetheless. That's what purpose means here. It's not a statement on a wall. It's something we see every day in the lives we help change."
Throughout the day, we reflected on the milestones, partnerships and innovations that have defined the past 20 years, while hearing from our leaders about the opportunities ahead. The conversations weren't simply about growth, but about how we continue making work easier, putting people first and focusing on what matters most as we build the next chapter together.
The celebrations concluded with our Gala Awards, recognising the individuals and teams who consistently go above and beyond to support each other, our customers and the healthcare professionals we partner with every day. Their commitment, collaboration and passion are a reminder that our greatest achievement has always been our people.
Twenty years is an incredible milestone, but it's only the beginning.
